AGLC Highlights


There have been many exciting things happening at Amazing Grace. As you probably know, we have been blessed with our new Pastor. Since his arrival, the Core Committee has been meeting with him to work on many necessary projects in order to prepare for the first “official” worship service.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS TO DATE:

… Became incorporated by the State of Florida

... Painted and cleaned the facilities we are renting from 1st Baptist Church of Oxford

… Received equipment/materials from Shepherd’s Creek Lutheran Mission Church
… Opened up a bank account as well as obtained a P. O. Box for Amazing Grace

… Two small Bible Study Groups have been started:

… An Evening of Celebration service was held

… Canvassed Community – 119 homes were visited

… A BLOG for Amazing Grace has been set up. Take a look, http://wamgoxford.blogspot.com

… Obtained Church Management Software

… Donor to match gifts made to Amazing Grace Lutheran Church up to $5,000. (Contributions to be matched should be made payable to Amazing Grace Lutheran Church. Simply put your contribution in the offering plate at Trinity; mail it to Amazing Grace Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 104, Oxford, FL 34484; or bring it to one of the following upcoming events.

UPCOMING DATES and EVENTS to be held at Amazing Grace, 4060 CR 108, Oxford

… Friday, September 28 – An Evening of Celebration and Ice Cream Social – 6:30 p.m.

… Saturday, September 29 – Saturday in the Park - Time: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

… October 7 and November 4 – Preview Worship Services at 4:00 p.m.

… October 27 – Movie Night “Luther” will be shown as well as “Veggie Tales” - 6:30 p.m.

… Grand Opening Worship Service – 8:30 Bible Class/Kids Church and 9:30 a.m. Worship Service

As you can see, we’ve been busy, but we need your help and support. We need volunteers to assist with the upcoming events. Please pray about how you may assist in reaching out to the community through these events. Thank you for your prayerful consideration of how you may be involved in this mission.
