Let us pray for the right use of science and technology
Lord, You have allowed humankind to make fantastic advances in science and technology. It seems that almost every day new discoveries, new techniques, and new approaches open doors long closed to us in virtually every field of human endeavor. It is by Your gracious will that we move into these new frontiers of science and technology. Yet we fail to acknowledge You as the author of these marvels, and in our blindness we boast of these as our own accomplishments. Forgive our conceit and our failure to seek Your guidance in the use of this new knowledge. Help us to understand that You give us these blessings for the well being of the whole world. Keep us from selfish or hurtful uses of new technologies, that they may be a blessing to all people everywhere. Let them be used in peace rather than in war, for healing rather than destruction. Lord, in Your mercy,
hear our prayer.

A prayer request...
Doris and Orbet need to be on the prayer list. Orbet went to the emergency room Monday with a temperature of 103. The doctors are running tests to determine the cause of the fever.
